Don’t Miss Graham Kerr at the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival

“Galloping Gourmet,” will officially open the Festival on Sat., October 8th at 11a.m. on the Gateway Center Stage. Afterwards, Mr. Kerr will show us how to make his famous crab cakes, talk about his passion for food and good living, and will do a book signing for you.

Presents Kurt Wenner – 3D Pavement Art

“Asphalt Renaissance” is showcasing the incredible talent of a true Renaissance man and master 3-D artist! Kurt Wenner revolutionized traditional pavement art by inventing a technique for creating spectacular three-dimensional illusions. His incredible art is a global and internet phenomenon that awes and inspires millions. National Geographic videos of his work will be shown, as well as a video that Kurt will produce for the exhibition that focuses on the importance of art history in today’s world of art.

Presents Tom Rierden – Oil Paintings

Sue Roberts – Ceramic Sculpture

Tom Rierden’s artwork is based on narrative storytelling at its finest, created by using acrylic paints on panels. Tom’s casts of characters conveyed in the paintings are people doing work; i.e., farming, driving tractors or just standing around chatting. Sue Roberts uses painted and fired clay to create large-scale people who have issues and opinions. Sue’s sculptures will grab the attention.

Did you know that the entire seafood festival weekend is filled with activities centered around the bounty of the Olympic Peninsula and the Pacific Northwest? From our magical forests, our local organic farms, to the nutrient rich waters of our rugged coastline.

Here is a list of a few of the activities for you to explore during the weekend of October 8 & 9:

Friday night activities include Community Crab Feed Tablescape Contest. Tablescape set up starts at 4:00pm through 5:00pm. Judging will take place at 5:30 p.m. First prize is four full crab dinners; second prize is four ½ crab dinners, and third prize is four festival tee shirts. Whether you win or not you will go to the top of the line for dinner. Send an email to operations@crabfestival.org to register so they can reserve a space for you at the table.

Welcome Graham Kerr, “The Galloping Gourmet”, to the opening ceremonies on Saturday at 11am at the Gateway Center Stage. Mr Kerr will demonstrate how he makes his famous crab cakes. He will also talk about his passion for food and good living. Mr. Kerr will also conduct a book signing for his new and very exciting book, Growing at the Speed of Life!

Port Angeles Farmer’s Market will be at the Clallam County Courthouse, corner of Fourth &Peabody from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday.

CrabFest 5-K Run/Walk, Saturday morning at HollywoodBeach. Open registration begins at 10:00 am.

Co-Ed 4’s CrabFest Sand Volleyball Tournament also at HollywoodBeach.

Birds of Prey Demonstration hosted by the Northwest Raptor & Wildlife Center.

A Crab Revival! Sunday at 9:30 in the Gateway Center. There will be music, inspiration and breakfast! The Peninsula Men’s Gospel Choir and Abbey Mae & the Home School Boys will provide the music for this non-denominational service. The will be a breakfast menu that includes crab quiche, crepes and traditional breakfast items. 9 am to 10:30 am.
