Adventures

Adventures come in all sizes…
…sometimes as small as three well-camouflaged birds at the water’s edge.

“We enjoyed the trip so much, that we will suggest your adventure trips to everyone in the area!”

Expeditions NW has created a variety of signature cruise options for the Northwest Explorer called the Explorer Series. Each Explorer Series cruise is created with a sense for adventure and discovery.

“We commend you on giving us more than we ever expected.”

Our NW Adventure Cruises can take you away for a relaxing Sunset Harbor cruise or an overnight expedition exploring the local lighthouses, wildlife and “Island Time” of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island.

“We look forward to going on another tour with you”

Unleashing The Elwha
The Sequel – September 16, 2012 - 3 pm to 5:30 pm

This is an adventure no one should miss! Following our 2011 trip to the mouth of the Elwha River (which coincided with the largest dam removal and river restoration project in U.S. history), we received a number of requests to revisit the shoreline up to the mouth of the river to explore changes occurring as the river renews itself. The speed with which the project progressed once demolition actually began and the impressive way the river is re-establishing itself will amaze you! Our crew will provide you with background on the project as you cruise to the river mouth.
2011 Unleashing The Elwha Cruise comments:
The American Rivers Board of Directors spent three wonderful days in the Port Angeles area. We enjoyed a variety of activities during that time, but for many of my board members, Unleashing the Elwha cruise was the highlight of their weekend. It was beautiful, fun, exciting, and educational. By the way Expeditions NW was truly a delight to work with….and could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Who could ask for more? Thank you for giving my board members and me an unforgettable experience.”   Joellen Shiffman – Director, Executive & Board Services – American Rivers
“I can’t imagine working with more accommodating, more supportive people…It is rare to board an excursion like yours that is so personalized to the client (and I get on a lot of boats).  Because I was behind a camera for the most part, I wasn’t able to fully participate in the cruise as much as I would have liked, but I could hear the guest speakers, who were all educational and entertaining…Bravo, Expeditions NW! And, you also order great weather :) ”   Jennifer Galvin, Sc.D., M.P.H. – Reel Blue / Thoreau Foundation
